Art Institutes Game Design Program
At the game art and design program of the Art Institutes, you will learn the art and design skills needed to break into the video gaming field. Game design is fun, but it isn’t just for fun. Games are for children, but not just for children. The work of game designers has application in many industries, including business, education, training, and entertainment.
To learn to create exciting and interactive games, you will study drawing, color theory, motion capture, animation, character development, and programming, as well as the latest technology and tools. Training includes coursework as well as hands-on application. Once you graduate from the Art Institutes game design program, you will be prepared for many entry-level positions, such as:

- Modeler
- Visual effects specialist
- Video postproduction artist
- Broadcast graphics designer
- FX artist
- Storyboard artist
