Strayer University – Hospitality and Tourism Management Program

If you’re considering a career in the hospitality and tourism management fields, Strayer University is a great place to start.  The school offers two degree levels – a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) – so there’s something for everyone, regardless of your current education level.

In both cases, the courses for these degrees include the principles of hospitality and tourism management, purchasing and cost control, quality service assurance and lodging operations management, just to name a few.  Just about every skill you’ll need to effectively run a hospitality and tourism business is included in these programs, making them a great choice if you plan to open your own business or work at the highest levels of another.

Completing either of these programs offers students a leg-up in finding employment in just about any aspect of hospitality and tourism management, such as upper hotel and restaurant management, travel agencies, or jobs with cruise lines and other tourism venues.  The need for qualified professionals in these fields is increasing every day, and these programs give you the tools and degrees you need to compete for the management positions that are currently understaffed.

Strayer University offers both of their programs entirely online – in fact, some of their online courses are offered in real time, as if you were really sitting in the classroom.  There are also courses that you can complete at your own pace if a hectic work or family life prevents you from making a scheduled meeting time each week.  For those that prefer a traditional classroom setting, Strayer has campuses located in 16 different states.   Whether you choose to work online from home or attend a traditional campus program, Strayer University will work with you to provide the support you need as you complete your degree in hospitality and tourism management.
