If the school is far away from the place where you stay, it would result in lot of time being spent in commuting every day to and from school, which could be used effectively if the school in proximity to your place of stay.
The amount of fee you need to pay, the volume of financial aid being offered, the reputation and the credibility of the school as well as that of the faculty who run the program and the infrastructure being offered are other factors that you need to consider. Some surgical technician schools may not have any kind of accreditation; it is better to avoid enrolling in such schools as an accreditation is one important parameter that influences your future career options!
