A project manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of a project. They must ensure the right people are assigned to tasks related to the project and that the deadlines for each tasks completion is met.

Deadlines play a huge role in a project manager's day-to-day activites so the ability to meet them is crucial. A project manager must also be able to work well with people, be an effective communicator, and possess excellent management skills.

Project managers usually use project management software in order to help manage all the different tasks and deadlines that make up a project. A certification or degree in project management is often required in order to begin a career in this field.
