It is one of the leading professions in the pharmaceutical industry, and a national certification course is available for this career. After completing the course, you will become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Certified technicians have an advantage over uncertified ones in terms of salary.
Uncertified pharmacy technicians are poorly paid, but experienced ones are paid better. Their salary is usually calculated on an hourly basis, and beginning technicians may receive $25,000 to $35,000 per year. A senior technician having at least 10 years of experience may earn as much as $40,000 yearly. Although neither intensive training nor having much education is required, certification is definitely necessary.
