Many online paralegal schools offer a paralegal certificate, associates degrees in paralegal studies, or even bachelor’s degrees in paralegal studies. You can choose which degree is right for you based on your goals, budget, and time commitment. Certificates and associates degrees can take 1-2 years to complete. Bachelor’s degrees usually take four years to complete, but online paralegal classes make it possible to complete the degree in less time if you choose.

Paralegal online courses can vary considerably in cost. You can pay more for an American Bar Association (ABA) approved online paralegal course. And accredited paralegal schools are usually more expensive than un-accredited schools. But the difference in quality of education can be significant and many paralegal students feel they are worth the extra investment.

Online paralegal courses are usually priced on a per-credit rate. For example, one credit might cost $350 at a particular school, so a 3-credit online paralegal course would cost $1050. Some paralegal online courses cost less and some cost more. It is recommended that you research different accredited paralegal schools with your budget in mind.
