With the nursing shortage threatening hospitals everywhere, some states have taken the initiative to offer incredible incentives for nursing students. In the Garden State, LPNs can make around $45,000 per year, and RNs can earn an average of $75,000. The type of facility you work in, as well as the city and your shift, will determine whether you make more or less than these averages. Hiring bonuses may also be available for new graduates.
