Going to interior design school in Arizona is about much more than simply understanding which colors work best together and how to fill a space. You need to know about flammability of materials, toxicity regulations, and how to understand blueprints. Communicating with builders, electricians, and architects is also part of the job.

In order to qualify as a professional interior designer, you will need to study for two to four years, after which you will work as an intern to learn the ins and outs of the business. If you are planning to take the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam to get your license, then you will also need two to four years of work experience in the field to accomplish a total of six years of studying and working.

Arizona interior design schools offer a desert climate with plenty of things to see and do, especially if you opt to study in one of the larger city centers. The area is rife with history, making for fascinating weekends and plenty of variability for both work and play.
