Offered in collaboration by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation as well as GRI, the Giacomo Bologna Scholarship offers the opportunity to study abroad with an all expense paid trip departing New York and arriving in Italy. The trip lasts a week, in which the students are able to participate in numerous culinary, as well as restaurant industry related courses and tours. The program offers the opportunity to learn Italian culture, including wine making, as well as the Italian cuisine. To qualify for the scholarship for culinary school, the student must be dedicated to Italian viticulture, have completed two years within the field or training, and complete an application accompanied with a 200 to 250 word essay and two letters of recommendation.
