The College of Engineering teaches engineering fundamentals and contemporary skills. The Indiana Tech Engineering Scholarship gives up to $10,000 in scholarships to engineering students every year.
Class Formats
Classes in the School of Engineering are taught during the day in traditional classroom formats, meeting several times a week for 15 weeks. Most students are recent high school graduates.
The College of Professional Studies has career-oriented, accelerated programs for adult learners. Evening and weekend classes in short (five- and six-week) sessions at numerous locations around the state cater to people who have workplace experience and desire to develop professionally.

Coursework
All engineering students take foundational courses in the basic sciences and mathematics, as well as courses in communications, social sciences, and humanities. While technical classes vary according to the programs, all feature small classes and hands-on work.
Experienced and professional faculty teach the courses. Some of the faculty practice engineering locally.
Career Opportunities
Career opportunities for engineers are almost limitless; they vary according to the engineering specialty. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, eight of the top ten growth industries are related to computers. Graduates may work in business or industry, in technical or management jobs, at locations around the world.
